We actually made our way east from Agen to le Puy but it seemed more useful to talk about the route in reverso as though we were travelling towards Spain - on reflection it was not that clever an idea .....  ah well .....

Another westerly route could have been slightly higher up - from Brioude via Aurillac, Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, Rocamadour, Martel, Souillac, and Cadouin, to Bergerac.  We did squeeze time to head up and take some photos along this route, but sadly they are still in the green room!
